Today, I’m excited to share that Keep Aware has been acquired by Jamf.
We started Keep Aware with a simple conviction: the browser was becoming one of the most important places where work happens, yet organizations had very little visibility into what was actually happening there. IT teams could manage and deploy the browser. Security teams could protect the endpoint, network, identity, and applications around it. But as work moved toward SaaS and web applications, more of the activity that mattered was happening inside the browser itself.
AI has accelerated that shift.
Every organization is now working out what AI means for its business, and governance remains an open question for most of them. They need a way to understand which tools are in use, which identities sit behind them, where company data is moving, and where real controls are needed without blocking a technology that could fundamentally improve how people work.
The browser is the surface where all of this converges. It is where someone reaches an AI tool, where an unsanctioned app gets signed into with a work identity, where an extension gets added without anyone reviewing what it can do, and where modern attacks like ClickFix arrive as a deceptive prompt rather than software anyone installs. Very little of this shows up in the places IT and security have traditionally looked. Seeing that surface clearly is what makes it possible to set boundaries specific enough to be useful.
That has been the direction of Keep Aware from the beginning: give organizations a clear view of how work happens in the browser while letting people keep using the browsers and applications they already prefer. Controls that create too much friction eventually get routed around. That's a product decision as much as a philosophical one.
Jamf shares this conviction.
For more than two decades, Jamf has helped organizations manage and secure Apple devices without degrading the experience that made people want those devices in the first place. That is a harder balance to maintain than it sounds, and it is a big part of why IT teams trust them. Plenty of vendors say management, security, and user experience can coexist. Jamf is one of the few companies that has proved it.
That approach extends one layer further. Bringing the endpoint and browser together gives organizations a clearer picture of what their fleet is actually being used for and where the sanctioned stack is being worked around. Those are security questions as often as they're IT, licensing, and support questions. Jamf is announcing the acquisition and their forward-looking strategy for AI governance at JNUC 2026.
To the customers, partners, and investors who believed in Keep Aware along the way, thank you. You gave us the opportunity, feedback, support, and trust to turn an idea into something real. That work continues, now with considerably more resources behind it.
And most importantly, to the Keep Aware team: this moment is a reflection of what you built. The product, the trust of our customers, and the reputation Keep Aware has earned are a direct result of the care and persistence this team brought to the work.
We saw this shift early and built for it before it was obvious. Together with Jamf, we will take that idea much further, for many more organizations, than we could have on our own.
There is a lot left to build.
